He has brought life and hope to us all through this time.

We are pleased to announce that we have sold part of our car park for a very generous price.

We were thrilled to accept the offer made to us and now we need to pull in the rest of the finances.

We will be sending out a letter soon to all members of our congregation asking if you can help us get over the line. The project of our New Community Hall, is finally being costed at the time of writing and will be going to three builders for their demolition and building tenders.

This project started in 2014 and it hasn’t been easy to keep it moving forward. During this covid-19 period it has been even harder because our church and hall just looks derelict and our opportunity to meet has been curtailed. ……….BUT NEW LIFE IS RETURNING.

We want to thank all of you who have already given your generous gifts of fi- nance, time and prayer. We don’t want to be a church that is always asking for money, but we feel that this final push will help us build a hall which will be self sustaining. We will be having an array of PV panels on the roof which will gener- ate enough electricity for both the church building and the hall too includ- ing both heating systems. We want to

thank All churches trust which generously supported us and also the Bernard Sunley Foundation and the Garfield Weston Foundation.

We also thank those amongst us who have diligently put in grant applications bought & sold preserves and vegetables, goods sold on Facebook, sold jewellery and much more…… we are where we are because of your largesse.

We also want to thank the family of Bill and Doreen Mapleson deceased, who loved this church. We also thank the family of Bernard and Edith Davies, de- ceased who both prayed and prayed that we might build our new hall. Bernard was a visionary who had hoped to live to see the building come about. Let’s give that FINAL push… please help us if you can.

Hi, I’m Chloe Wang. I’m currently studying for a Master’s in sport at the University of South Wales. I was born

and grew up in China. I first came to Wales in 2018 for football study by accident as I was finish- ing my final year of study in China for my under- graduate degree in 2018.

A couple of months before I graduated from Beijing Sport University, I’ve been told that I could represent Beijing Sport University student to go to the University of South Wales for five months of football exchange study.

After the five months of study, I chose the University of South Wales for my Master’s study. It was a fantastic experience and just a short story of the reason I came to Wales. Apart from football, I am also an amateur box- er since I was 13. Passionate about sport, especially football and boxing.

I enjoy every day in Wales, and I decided to join the Christian family one year ago before the pandemic as Jane Song used to bring me to our church services, I met so many lovely people at the church, and I know God is calling me in many ways. The night before my baptism, I couldn’t sleep, and I read the words that Trystan sent me for my baptism over and over again until I went to sleep. That night, I felt a different life would come to me and I’ve never felt like that before.

Over the past eight months, Revd Trystan and Sandra have enjoyed delivering lively funky church sessions every fortnight over zoom.

There has been lots of learning and laughter as the children have played games and made crafts with Sandra, sung songs with some energetic actions, and heard Bible stories told by Revd Trystan‘s best friend – his cheeky puppet Joey! There are between 10 and 20 children attending each week. Last harvest we also had an outdoor service on the church car park, where 30 children and parents got to worship together… and to meet Joey in person! All being well with the weather, we are organising another service on bank holiday weekend.

Please keep all our children and their families in your prayers – it has not been an easy time for anyone this past year and naturally children need our support and prayers at a time when we can’t do funky church in our usual manner.
