After the uncertainties that an outside event creates, we finally had a lovely, sunny afternoon in the Vicarage garden. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get together, especially those from different services; old friends and new mingled well to create a happy atmosphere. Around 50 or so people were able to attend. There were plenty of cakes, treats and tea & coffee. Thank you to everyone who brought something – everything was absolutely delicious and Sandra’s family recipe German cheesecake sat alongside traditional Welsh treats. The children had a great time on the trampoline and Mimi the hamster was a particular highlight. The afternoon was rounded off nicely with a short service by Revd Trystan. Trystan and Lena provided an harmonious guitar accompaniment to the hymns and a good time was had by all.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. Allofthemwerefilledwiththe Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

A HAPPY EASTERTIDE TO EVERYONE

A special thank you to John Tredget and Fiona Shivers for gifting us the idea of the stations of the cross outside our church. A wonderful experience both to view and to look at with your smart phone.

Thanks also to Colin and Ann Francis for making the beautiful Easter Cross and for putting it in a new place. Lots of new ideas this year which helps us in our new start after covid.

No matter what terror is going on in our world the Easter Message remains constant. Jesus has overcome death on the cross. No dark- ness can ever extinguish Jesus the Light of the World.

YOUTH ALPHA Our young people have been enjoying studying the Youth Alpha course over the past few months. We will hear more about this next month.
